How To Get Rid Of Eye Bags

Simple winter skin care tips:

1. Take warm showers and baths. In the cold months, it is very tempting to take steaming hot showers. But that hot water actually further dries out your skin by drawing moisture out. Instead, opt for warm showers and baths which help maintain the moisture in your skin naturally.

2. Exfoliate. To many, this seems an unnecessary step, but once you start you’ll notice a difference immediately. There are a couple of options. For gentle daily exfoliation, use a bath “pouf” sponge or a loofah with shower gel and rub in gentle circular motion over entire body. Seek a gel that is free of sulfates (sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate) as sulfates are highly irritating and can cause skin to dry out even further. Additionally, avoid gels that include alcohol as it is also drying. Look for products with naturally moisturizing ingredients such as aloe.

3. Moisturize. Ok, that may seem obvious but it is vitally important and many people do not moisturize consistently, or properly. To properly allow your skin to maximize the absorption and retention of moisturizers, it is important to gently pat your skin dry with a clean, dry towel after showering, and then apply a good quality moisturizer within 3 minutes. This is when your skin is most receptive to the oils and it will also seal the water in before it evaporates. Avoid products that contain mineral oil or petroleum products as they can clog pores, and instead look for natural-based ingredients like aloe, coconut oil and shea butter. Some moisturizers also include anti-oxidants such as chamomile, green tea, and Vitamin E. Anti-oxidants can help combat additional free-radical damage that your skin endures from the winter sun.

4. Protect hands. Hands seem to endure the most damage in the winter. The cold air, the dishwashing, and the constant hand-washing to avoid germs all take a huge toll. To protect hands, keep hand cream at convenient locations – the kitchen sink, the bathroom, next to your bed, and in your purse. This way it is always within reach when you need it. For a hand cream, look for one that contains naturally hydrating oils and butters like aloe, illipe and shea. For additional protection, seek a cream with antioxidants that can keep the winter sun damage at bay. A good hand cream should not leave hands sticky or greasy.

5. Soften feet. Our poor feet – trod on daily, covered in socks and stuffed into shoes they take some serious abuse. Pay a little attention to them and they will be so grateful! Wash them carefully at least once per day (or even twice) and dry thoroughly between the toes. After showering, rub them with a pumice stone or a “foot file” once or twice per week to reduce the tough skin. Dating back more than 4,000 years, Chinese green tea diet has been long revered as a tasty drink that can ward off diseases and improve one's well-being. There are only a few herbs that can surpass its impressive history.

Green tea has been used traditionally to control blood sugar in the body. Animal studies suggest that green tea may help prevent the development of type 1 diabetes and slow the progression once it has developed. People with type 1 diabetes produce little or no insulin, a hormone that converts glucose (sugar), starches, and other foods into energy needed for daily life. Green tea may help regulate glucose in the body.

A few small clinical studies have found that daily supplementation of the diet with green tea-extract powder lowered the hemoglobin A1c level in individuals with borderline diabetes.

A study reported on in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found that green tea extract resulted in a significant increase in energy expenditure (a metabolism 'boost'). The researchers also concluded that that over a 24-hour period, green tea extract increases the metabolic rate by 4%. These effects are probably due to the high concentrations of catechin polyphenols found in green tea. These work to help intensify levels of fat oxidation and thermo genesis (the rate at which your body burns calories).

Population-based clinical studies have shown that men who drink more than 10 cups of green tea per day are less likely to develop disorders of the liver. Green tea also seems to protect the liver from the damaging effects of toxic substances such as alcohol. Animal studies have shown that green tea helps protect against the development of liver tumors in mice.

Results from several animal and human studies suggest that one of the polyphenols present in green tea, known as catechin, may help treat viral hepatitis (inflammation of the liver from a virus). In these studies, catechin was isolated from green tea and used in very high concentrations. It is not clear whether green tea (which contains a lower concentration of catechins) confers these same benefits to people with hepatitis.

How do i use it ??

How do the health effects of green tea and black tea differ?

I keep seeing the health benefits of green tea.

Green tea antioxidants consist mainly of small molecules catechins, such as EGCG, ECG EG etc.

During the tea making process, these antioxidants oxidise to form larger molecules such as thearubigin and theaflavin.

The evidence is mixed so far, but there are studies that found catechins to be a lot more powerful than thearubigins and theaflavins.

However, more studies are still needed to understand why green tea has more health benefits than black tea.

Some scientists say there are more green tea health benefits because there are more studies on green tea. It does not make any difference which tea you drink since they are the same species.

Personally, I doubt it. If you look at the proportion of studies showing positive results, green tea do better than black tea.

The problem is that black tea molecules are larger and more difficult to study. So it will be a while before we understand the difference between them.

Green tea weight loss diets have been doing the rounds for some time.  As usually is the case, their popularity increased once celebrities started using them and claiming weight loss on them.  These days you can see green tea in several products for its claimed anti-aging effects as well as for weight loss.

1. Not A Fad Diet:

You must keep in mind the difference between the Green Tea weight loss diet and a fad diet. You do not drink green tea all day, and eat almost no food to lose weight.  The use of green tea is because of its properties that have been shown to speed up the metabolism of the person drinking it, and obviously this is beneficial for weight loss.  Green tea is thus one of a few tactics you can use to speed up your metabolism and increase your weight loss.

2. It increases your metabolism:

3. It suppresses your appetite:

Another very important benefit of green tea is that it reduces the appetite.  By drinking Green tea on a regular basis it helps to keep your blood sugar levels stable.  So, actually the best benefit of green tea is that it keeps you from being hungry all the time. Obviously this keeps you from snacking and giving in to temptations!

We all know that the body stores excess carbohydrates as fat.  This is an ongoing process.  It is believed that Green tea keeps the body from doing that for a short space of time after you have had a cup of Green tea. When you drink green tea, your body allows a bigger window for eating carbohydrates to use as fuel for the body and therefore less of the carbohydrates gets stored as fat.  This has the added benefit of more sustained energy levels. Another very important benefit of Green tea is that it helps caffeine addicts to eat fewer calories as well.  Green tea also contains caffeine.  So the benefit for the caffeine addicts is that they can have their caffeine fix without adding the milk and sugar, thus without adding calories to their diet. 

Unfortunately it is true that green tea is rather bitter but small amounts of sugar substitutes can sweeten it to make it palatable. For many coffee drinkers cutting out the calories added by sugar and milk will be enough to start the weight loss process.  I also find Green tea very beneficial as a "pick me up" when I'm having a bad day and I'm very tired. This in turn stops me from nibbling, as I tend to snack when I'm tired.

Most people do not realize how many empty calories they consume each day with drinking coffee and other beverages.  Eliminating even half of those empty calories will promote weight loss. This is something to keep in mind with all beverages you normally drink, even fruit juice. Try and get into the habit of drinking Green tea when you crave something. With any diet it is always to have a kind of "stop" that you fall back on when the going starts getting tough.

Start having a cup of green tea with every meal if you enjoy having something to drink with your meals.  Even one or two cups of green tea a day will let you reap the health and weight loss benefits of the tea.  There are many ways you can use to get the green tea into your system for weight control.  Green tea is also available as a cold tea drinks and in nutritional supplement.  During the summer I find cold Green tea very refreshing and satisfying.

For me the most important part is that you can add green tea to any diet plan that you want to use. In doing so you can improve your weight loss without any real added effort. So, any diet can be turned into a green tea weight loss diet.

Is the Proactiv making my skin worse or my diet?

Im 13 years old, I use proactiv cleanser,toner,repairing lotion and green tea moisterizer. day & night everyday (have been for 2 weeks)
I still have big breakouts on my forehead.But everywhere else it's worked.

A good zinc supplement with vitamin C, will also really benift you and will build up your immune system. It will also help with bad acne and scarring.

Also by the time we reach the age of 14, 70% of people have lost the enzymes to break down lactose in dairy products (milk, etc), yogurt and cheese are ok as the bacteria break down most of the lactose. Most people around this age can experience breakouts, so mayb you can eliminate that for a month and see how you go.

One last thing keep away from processed sugar foods and drink 2 L of water a day.
