Laser hair removal is an increasingly popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure. Laser hair removal is a non-invasive, convenient method to reduce hair growth.  Laser hair removal has become extremely popular because of its efficacy and speed.   Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses an intense pulsating laser light beam that passes through the skin to remove unwanted hair.

The laser light targets dark pigment called melanin in hair. When the light beam hits the hair follicle, the intense heat destroys the hair follicle instantly. The laser energy passes down the hair shaft and is absorbed by hair follicles that are in the active growth phase, thereby disabling the hair follicle in the deeper layer of the skin. In most cases, minimal pain should be experienced and no anesthesia is required in the laser hair removal treatment.

Depending on the area, the laser hair removal treatment process may take several minutes to several hours to complete.  Depending on the clients skin and hair type, the average number of sessions required to achieve over 80% permanent hair reduction is approximately 3- 8 sessions.

The reason for multiple sessions is because hair grows in different cycles and some of the follicles might be dormant during one laser hair removal treatment and in the growth phase during your next.  In order to maintain hair reduction, touchups are done once or twice a year, after your initial set of sessions.

Due to hormonal changes and dormant hair follicles in the body, there is never a guarantee of permanent hair removal, however, our laser hair removal treatments do drastically reduce hair growth.  It has also been observed that a small percentage of the population seem to be non-responders, it is not known why, but hormonal changes in the body can be a cause.
