Maybe grape peel's "resveratrol" could help insulin resistance?

Realizing that we type 2 diabetics could use a little help in the insulin sensitivity department, I found these articles quite interesting. I'm not prepared to drink 3 liters of red wine a day, so I was wondering if anyone had tried any of the alternatives that are available. Comments welcome too.

Yes -- 3 liters is a bit exorbitant (even if the challenge is welcoming to many of us!) But neither here nor there -- reveratrol is fantastic in many ways...like doubling endurance, fighting obesity and prolonging life.

The increase of high-fat diets has led to the rising number of people diagnosed with metabolic disorder and diabetes. Resveratrol has been shown to offset the negative health effects of high-fat diets by increasing the number of mitochondria in the muscle cells.

Extra mitochondria within cells help burn more calories and assist in burning fat. Furthermore, resveratrol helps build muscle fibers like those of trained athletes so more glucose calories are metabolized with less insulin - reversing insulin resistance from the "outside-in".

Picture this and try not to laugh (or call the ASPCA): an average lab mouse can pound the treadmill for a kilometer before it collapses. Lab mice that receive high doses of resveratrol last twice as long as the average lab mouse that collapsed after a kilometer. The resveratrol mice were also found to have energy-charged muscles and a lower heart rate, much like trained athletes.
