best buy of resveratrol product?

I recently bought some "Pilgrims Promise " Red Wine Extract Plus. It had the word RESVERATROL top on the lable. Thats why I bought it. Later I read the ingredients disclosure on back an saw that Resveratrol was last on the list. That means that it is the smallest amount of all the ingredients. It does not tell what the actual amount is. I bought it thinking it was mostly resveratrol. I believe it is deceptive advertising and the product is probably benign and trading on the Resveratrol name. The Plus part of the formula is Grape Seed Extract and vitamin C. I feel I got ripped off. the product was purchased at CVS and is $9.95 for 60 capsules. The dose is described as 200 mg of red wine complex. Any thoughts on this/ or suggestions on a good source of resveratrol? and if you have benifited from taking the supplement "RESVERATROL".

Well, you're definitely right that it sounds like they were trying to be deceptive... I would have assumed that means it's got a lot of Resveratrol in it instead of just a trace amount if it said it on the front of the bottle, but that's why it's also a good reason to read the supplement facts to make sure the company isn't trying to use marketing to sell their product. Red Wine actually has very little Resveratrol, so you likely got less than 1 mg from that product.

Ultimately, Resveratrol is Resveratrol no matter which company sells it as long as that company is legit and has good quality. It is a fantastic antioxidant that is also good for cardiovascular health, but that's about it.
You can get it from any health food store (GNC, Whole Foods, etc) and many other places, but I would be careful about online ads for it (and the "free trials" are hardly ever free since they have to get you to pay for it somehow). Unfortunately, Resveratrol is one of a few high powered antioxidants that are fads right now and when there is a fad, there are always people and companies that take advantage of that popularity and sell their own piece of it. The unfortunate part is that too many of those people/companies make baseless claims in order to sell their product faster and for higher prices.

It's best to get a product like this from a company that you know and/or trust. If you'd like, I can also point out a few companies out there if you can't find any in your local area. Good luck and I hope I helped!
