how can i get rid of flaky skin by newyears without buying a new moisturizer?

i used too much peroxide cream on my face so my chin is red and flakey. it has been for two days. i have been washing it with moisturizng face wash twice a day and then adding moisturizer. i dont have any money to get a different moisturizer at the moment. any idea on how to fix this?
